Metal Detectable PTFE
Detectamet Blue Metal & X-Ray Detectable PTFE (sheets, rods, tubes) is a food-grade PTFE engineered for foreign-body control in food processing and pharmaceutical packaging. Its blue colour aids visual checks, while the formulation is detectable by metal detectors and X-ray inspection to help intercept plastic fragments before they leave the line.
It retains PTFE’s low-friction, non-stick surface, excellent chemical resistance, and high temperature capability (continuous to ~260 °C / 500 °F), and it machines cleanly into OEM parts and line-side spares. FDA compliant and manufactured using EU 10/2011 food-contact compliant materials.
Standard sheet sizes: 600 x 600 x 10mm (23.62 x 23.62 x 0.39"), 1200 x 1200 x 5mm (47.24 x 47.24 x 0.20"), 1200 x 1200 x 25mm (47.24 x 47.24 x 0.98"). Custom and bespoke sizes availble, please contact us with your requirements.
